Who are we?
Peek + Kooijman Innovations is a family company, which we are very proud of. Our company is owned by Sandra Peek and Rosanne Kooijman. A mother with a huge amount of experience in the sign & print market and a daughter who is following in her footsteps:
At P+K Innovation we want to make the use of sublimation products more accessible by developing them further for you.
We give it added value so that you can quickly produce them into the desired end product. We make processing a sublimation plate as easy as that of any other printed plate
We develop and produce products for the sublimation, sign & print market. We do this in a creative and innovative way, and with respect for nature and the environment. P+K Innovations offers sublimated products in acrylic, Corian, glass, wood and tiles. All these materials can be transformed into amazing end products. Everything is possible and we will be right here to help you every step of the way.
The sublimation process consists out of a few steps. First we print our desired image or drawing on sublimation paper with sublimation inks. Then, we will place this printed paper on the material that we want to use. The material and paper are both placed in the sublimation press. Due to the heat of the sublimation press the material is heating up and the pores of this product will start to open up. The ink from the paper will turn into a gas, that will go into the pores of the material. After that, we take out the product. It will cool off, the pores will close, and the ink will stay inside the material.
Why is this a better way of printing material? Sublimation gives brighter colors for a longer duration of time, the print will not get damaged only the material can get damaged. Meaning that the print is also waterproof!
And lastly, because of the heat, sublimation gives us the possibility to thermoform acrylic and Corian. Due to the heat of the sublimation press, the material becomes soft. That is how we can reshape the materials in unique shapes.
